Visian ICL Implantable Contact Lens Los Angeles Uday Devgan

“No-Touch” Technique of implantation of the Staar Visian ICL Implantable Contact Lens. Note that the entire ICL is properly placed WITHOUT the need to manipulate it with other instruments. This makes for a less invasive, better, and safer surgery. Also note that I intentionally cause a tiny bit of bleeding from the incisions so that they heal faster and stronger.

I have a family friend who is an ophthalmologist, so i got it for minimal price. i didn’t pay for anything except the for the lenses themselves, and the equipment, including the before and after stuff. it all ran me about 3000. usually, the finance lady there said, it costs just over six thousand. oh, and since it is new, there is not one single insurance company who will cover it…yet.

  3. jorge10928 says:

nope… its permanent.. after its in you dont ever have to worry about it again….

omg i would love too get this done. daily contacts bug me, and my glasses they make me feel dizzy all the time.but i dont think im suitable for this either, cause i have whats called lazy eye!!! or can i???

You know how your eyes get worse over the years, having to up your prescription every so often.
So this procedure implants a lens, will that lens need to be replaced down the road?

I had this surgery. we did one eye per day, and it took only 15 minutes per eye-maybe less. i was on a valium, so i was awake, but my eye was numbed. i couldn’t feel a thing besides the direct pressure put on my eye by the instruments. absolutely no pain during or after, with only a 2/3 day recovery for vision. 1-2 months for the eye. i see better than ever, even with contacts or glasses from before, because the natural shape of my cornea is maintained.i see the 20/15 line. best surgery. period.

the body is awake, the eye is asleep. The vast majority of patients say that there is absolutely no pain with this surgery or after.

when doing this freaking surgery, are u awake? does it hurt?

  9. kruiser001 says:

What exactly is ‘ocular trauma?’ also you say after a few weeks but could I box without headgear in a few months? also how do you know this information?

  10. ceiol says:

it is a very thin lens implant. And yes, after a few weeks, you could resume boxing, although I would recommend head-gear and avoidance of direct ocular trauma.

  11. kruiser001 says:

Is it an actual lens they put in or something else?
Also this may sound stupid but would I still be able to box if I had this done?

  12. nazofun says:

    Doe’s it hurt?

  13. Trepanation21 says:

I got this surgery done (free, thanks US Army!) about a year ago, and it’s been a fantastic decision. I’d been fussing with corrective lenses for near two decades.

    Great procedure.

  14. ceiol says:

    approximately $5000, all inclusive

  15. dhong002 says:

What is the approximate cost of this operation per eye?

  16. ceiol says:

yes, the eye heals very quickly with most patients seeing 20/20 the same day,

  17. xDeadCryx says:

    Does your eye heal?

  18. ceiol says:

yes, just put the Lumera into SCI mode and you’ll see a bright red reflex via the PI which confirms patency.

  19. buxster99 says:

I’ve been told that the Lumera microscope makes it super easy to determine patency of an intra-operative PI. Have you found that to be the case?

  20. buxster99 says:

Do you do an intra-operative PI normally? Or with a YAG laser?

  21. SFQRIDE08 says:

im having this done hopefully within the next month or two

  22. gyuing says:

    wow! wiked tht is!
